Youth Page

This is a guide to help the parents of children (ages 4-17) that are involved in the SCA or are interested in the SCA. 

You will find the needed forms as a parent, a Children Activities Coordinator, an Autocrat and a Reservationist to assist with Activities and Events while involving SCA children to the fullest extent.
 
In general, the youth programs within the Kingdom of Altantia are by appropriate age groups, as follows:

     Children’s Corners are for ages 4-8

     The Pages Academy is for older children, ages 9-14

     Youth Activities are for teens over the age of 14

To have a successful program for our youth everyone (parents, the youth and other SCA members) must work together to create the best program possible.

Important note about Children/Minors at SCA Events:

Minors 17 years and younger are not permitted to enter (or remain on) an event site without an adult who is
designated as being responsible for them. If the adult in question is not the minor's parent or guardian, that adult must present a Minor Medical Authorization Form, signed by the parent or legal guardian at registration at the event. This medical authorization form must be notarized. (We must have the form even if you are a blood relative such as a grandparent).  

Minors attending an SCA event must also present either a signed Minor Waiver, or a signed blue SCA membership card, before admission to the event. (Waiver forms will be available at the gate.)

Baronial Youth Prize Inventory
We have AMAZING kids in Windmaster's Hill and they are constantly trying new crafts. I would like to encourage every artisan to put together a basic kit with supplies and instructions for their favorite craft. I would also like to encourage artisans to volunteer to teach their craft to the children. If you are willing, please contact the Baronial Chancellor Minors to arrange to teaching a class.
