The Canton of Kappellenberg is located in Chapel Hill, NC. The canton often works with a student group at UNC-Chapel Hill named Students for Creative Anachronism in order to bring the SCA’s medieval activities to students on campus.
WEEKLY MEETING INFO
Weekly canton meetings are held on Mondays at 7:30pm in the fellowship hall or basement of the Chapel of the Cross on Franklin St. (next to the Morehead Planetarium) in Chapel Hill.
Weekly meetings begin with a short business meeting where we discuss upcoming events and end with a class on some aspect of the middle ages. After the class, we often go out to dinner at a nearby restaurant in order to socialize.
WEEKLY ARMORED (HEAVY) FIGHTER PRACTICE (Cancelled)
The weekly armored practice is cancelled for lack of a marshall.
WEEKLY RAPIER FIGHTER PRACTICE
Weekly rapier practices are held on Thursday nights at 5:30 pm at Herndon Park, 511 Scott King Rd, Durham, NC 27713 in the summer, and at various locations in the Triangle in the winter. Please contact the rapier marshal for the current location, or check with the canton facebook group, practices are often posted there.
If you are new and plan to attend, please contact the rapier marshall in advance, as sometimes practices are cancelled at the last minute due to inclement weather, etc. Click for directions.
