ABOUT US:
The Canton of Kappellenberg is the Chapel Hill, North Carolina branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). It’s one of five groups forming the Barony of Windmasters’ Hill (Central NC), which is part of the Kingdom of Atlantia (U.S. mid-Atlantic region.)

Our Facebook Messenger group is called “Kberg Open Group”. Ask the Senescahl (Group President), noted below in the officers, to add you to the chat group. Or post a request on the Kappellenberg Facebook page. The chat group is very useful on meeting days.
MEETINGS:
We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday nights of the month starting at 7PM. We currently in the conference room of Trilogy Chapel Hill apartments near Ram’s Plaza in eastern Chapel Hill. Meetings usually last about an hour. The business part is usually quick, then we might discuss things we’ve been working on, arts and sciences, event or project planning, SCA lore and administrivia, etc. After the meeting, we usually go to dinner, usually Mexican Food.
LOCATION:
The meeting room at Trilogy Chapel Hill (a fancy apartment complex), 1000 Novus Lane, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
PARKING:
There is parking on the street (Novus Lane) next to the building, and across the street at the Tru by Hilton. Or park in Ram’s Plaza (on the other side of the building). This will put you within easy walking distance to the meeting, and you’ll be able to drive straight home from the restaurant. See below for the detailed parking and access diagram that Duke Barry made for us.
BUILDING ACCESS:
The doors are all secured, so one of us will need to let you into the building through the middle door on the front (Novus Lane) side. Just inside the door, you will see a lounge area. The meeting room is next to the lounge. The restaurants are just off the back end of the building. It’s a good idea to get on the Facebook chat group (“Kberg Open Group”) ahead of time so that you can ask for help if you’re lost or late.
DINNER:
After the meetings, we’ve been walking over to Ram’s Plaza for dinner at Monterrey Mexican Grill, but Mr. Tokyo and Firehouse Subs are also nearby options. Trilogy has a pool very close to the meeting site, so as the weather heats up, we may take advantage.
FUN FACTS:
Kappellenberg (“Chapel Hill” in German) was founded in 1980 and hosted the feast for Atlantia’s first Crown Tournament in partnership with the Canton of Buckston-on-Eno, which hosted the Tourney itself on the campus of Duke University in Durham.
