New to Windmasters’ HILL?

Step through the mists of time and enter the Barony of Windmasters’ Hill, an enchanting territory in the Kingdom of Atlantia where where tales of yore are not just told, but lived and cherished. Welcome to Windmasters’ Hill!

Here, we bring history alive in the East-Central region of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), a 501(c)3 educational nonprofit organization which dedicates itself to re-creating the most captivating aspects of the pre-1600s in the modern world. Windmasters’ Hill was the very first landed Barony to be formed in the Kingdom of Atlantia!

New to the SCA? Check out the newcomers’ resources on the Society’s Newcomer Page, which gives an overview and description of the SCA and answer such questions as: How did the SCA begin? How is it organized? Why is everyone wearing odd clothing and bowing to those people with crowns on? And how can I join?

Windmasters’ lands (see map) contain five chapters, called Cantons: Attilium (Fayetteville, orange), Buckston-on-Eno (Durham, green), Elvegast (Raleigh, red)), Kapellenberg (Chapel Hill, pink), and Nimenefeld (Fuquay-Varina, yellow). The land shown in blue is land belonging to the Barony as well.

In addition to activities sponsored by the Barony as a whole, our Cantons hold meetings, classes, practices, and other social activities on a weekly basis. Many people attend activities in more than one Canton, as each group has different strengths.

Windmasters’ Hill gathers every Sunday (subject to change) at the Garner Lion’s Club, 305 W Main St, Garner, NC 27529, to socialize, work on projects, practice combat, and conduct business. See the Calendar on our home page for more information.

Canton and Baronial meetings are open to anyone no matter where you live. All are welcome!
